tildee tutorial imageYou need to have a Facebook account or page to continue, if you don't have one, you can get one here: http://www.facebook.com/

Go to http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/ for a number of different Facebook plug-ins you can embed into your Moodle course. We are going to use the "Like Box" as our example here, click on "Like Box".

tildee tutorial imageYou are given a series of options, first enter the web address (URL, domain) of your facebook. Then choose a width, color scheme, and other options to customize your Facebook feed. When you are done click "Get Code" at the bottom.

tildee tutorial imageYou are given two types of code, iframe and XFBML. Both formats are accepted by Moodle so it doesn't matter which one you copy. (Remember, if you are using a Mac you need to use the Firefox browser)

Copy one of them, then navigate to your Moodle course.

Click the edit button (the hand with a pencil) wherever you want to add this Facebook plugin.

tildee tutorial imageClick the "Toggle" button to switch to HTML source mode so that you can paste the code you just copied into your Moodle.

tildee tutorial imagePaste the code you just copied into the Editor so that it looks like this. When you have done that click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.

tildee tutorial imageNow your Facebook plugin will show up in the module you placed it in and it will be fully interactive and live. When you post something to your Facebook it will show up here as well. Good work!
