tildee tutorial imageIn this tutorial, you will learn how to add an assignment to your module that students can upload a file to. To begin, "Turn editing on". Then select from the "Add an activity" drop down menu, "Upload a single file".


tildee tutorial imageNow you are on the assignment editing page. Here you can name and describe the assignment. To learn how to use this text editor, go to


tildee tutorial imageTo choose your point total for the assignment, select from the "Grade" drop down menu. You can also edit the availability of the assignment by choosing a start date and due date. To prevent late submissions, choose "Yes" from the "Prevent late submissions" drop down menu.


tildee tutorial imageTo edit the upload settings, choose from the drop down menus under the "Upload a single file" heading. If you turn the resubmitting option on, then students will be allowed to resubmit assignments after they have been graded (for you to re-grade). If you want to be notified when students submit assignments, change the settings for "Email alerts to teachers". You can also modify the maximum size file allowed to upload.


tildee tutorial imageIf you would like to integrate groups into your assignment, choose from the "Groups" section. Once you have finished editing your settings, save and preview your assignment by clicking "Save and display".


tildee tutorial imageOnce you have created your assignment, it will appear with an uploading area for students at the bottom. To upload a file, click "Browse", select a file and open it, then click "Upload this file".
