Baltic moves for games developer and media studio – Prolific North
Liverpool’s Baltic Creative has strengthened its community with a pair of fresh arrivals and a wave of tenant expansions, signposting growing momentum across the city’s creative and digital scene.
The newest additions include Helta Skelta, a creative studio delivering campaign photography, film, and experiential work, and Skyhook Games, which has secured two suites within the Digital House hub. Their arrival broadens the campus mix, adding production capability and game development under the same roof.
Alongside the new signings, several existing tenants are scaling up. Music and entertainment specialists Modern Sky and Binary have expanded their footprints, while ecommerce business Rebo UK has completed a significant upsizing—more than doubling its space from 729 sq ft to 1,765 sq ft, reflecting sharp growth in its operations.
Commenting on the momentum, Baltic Creative CIC’s Chief Executive Officer, Lynn Haime, said the organisation’s mission is to support companies at every stage, from emerging startups to established teams, and to keep that journey rooted in one collaborative community.
The campus now supports around 100 creative and digital organisations and approximately 400 jobs, underscoring its role as a key engine for Liverpool’s innovation economy. With new studios joining and existing names scaling, the ecosystem is tightening its focus on cross-discipline collaboration—bringing together storytellers, technologists, musicians, and game makers in close proximity.
For Skyhook Games, taking two suites at Digital House positions the studio within a ready-made network of partners and talent. For Helta Skelta, the move embeds production services directly into a neighbourhood known for creative output. Both additions are set to strengthen the pipeline of content, campaigns, and interactive experiences emerging from the Baltic Triangle area.
The recent expansions also suggest strong confidence among long-term occupiers. Increased floorspace for Modern Sky and Binary points to a growing slate of projects in music and entertainment, while Rebo UK’s substantial growth reflects the rising demand facing ecommerce operators. Together, they signal that Baltic Creative is not just attracting new names—it’s giving its residents room to scale.
As the cluster matures, the blend of disciplines—games, media, ecommerce, and entertainment—continues to be its competitive edge. By concentrating diverse teams within walking distance, Baltic Creative aims to speed up collaboration, reduce barriers for startups, and help established firms build out their capabilities without leaving the neighbourhood.
With fresh tenants secured and expansions confirmed, the message is clear: Liverpool’s creative corridor is not slowing down. The latest moves add capacity, capability, and confidence to a community that’s increasingly shaping the city’s digital future.
