El Kurano’s Assist Secures Anyang’s 3-2 Win
Anyang claimed a 3-2 victory away to Bucheon FC 1995 in the Hana Bank K League 1 2026 Round 19, at Bucheon Sports Complex on the 22nd. The win lifts Anyang to 27 points (6 wins, 9 draws, 4 losses) and places the team in sixth in the standings.
El Kurano, deployed as a forward, helped open the scoring in the 19th minute by laying a back-pass that teed up Choi Geon-joo for a sharp finish.
In the 39th minute, Kurano delivered a precise forward pass that split Bucheon’s defenders and set up another shooting chance for Choi Geon-joo. Although that shot didn’t go in, the move underscored Kurano’s ability to link play.
Bucheon equalized in the 41st minute through Gabriel, and Anyang moved back in front after the break when Matheus found the net in the 51st minute. Kang Ji-hoon then added a third for Anyang in the 60th minute, giving the visitors breathing room.
Bucheon pressed and pulled a goal back when Gallego volleyed home in the 70th minute, narrowing the gap to one, but Anyang defended stoutly to seal the win.
After the final whistle, Kurano spoke about his performance, noting he was pleased to contribute with an assist and prepared to continue refining his game to help the team in upcoming fixtures.
Coach Yoo Byung-hoon praised Kurano’s work rate in duels and his link-up play, stating that while the breakthrough goal he craved didn’t arrive today, the improvement was evident and training would focus on movements and combinations to boost scoring potential.
With this result, Anyang strengthens its position as the season progresses, aiming to convert more chances and climb higher in the table as the schedule tightens.
