Are Media appoints Blake Talarico to lead commercial data strategy – Mediaweek
Are Media has named a new Head of Commercial Data, signaling a renewed push into audience insights and data-driven advertising solutions. This appointment positions the company to roll out Are Media Collectives and accelerate its next wave of data innovation.
Blake Talarico, a veteran executive previously with Nine, takes on the role. In his prior position, he focused on turning data into commercial products and forging partnerships with major advertisers and agencies—experience that the new post aims to leverage as Are Media expands its data capability.
In the newly created post, Talarico will lead the launch of Are Media Collectives, a female-audience segmentation tool spanning seven content verticals, and will drive the development of new data products and partnerships. The work includes shopper-intent segments built from one-to-one transactional data and new onboarding pathways that allow advertisers to match their customer data with Are Media’s network of eight million authenticated users.
Are Media’s commercial arm has intensified its focus on first-party data and integrated content commerce to reach engaged female audiences across platforms.
As data becomes central to Are Media’s strategy, the objective is to blend interest signals, intent data, transactional information and cross-platform engagement to deliver campaigns that produce measurable business outcomes. The team envisions unlocking the full potential of first-party data to guide the future of data-driven media in Australia.
