Assetto Corsa EVO: Newest Information and Launch Date

The buzz surrounding Assetto Corsa EVO continues to grow as early access sets the stage for what’s in store for this acclaimed racing simulator. With its early testing phase igniting in January, anticipation builds for a full release planned for this autumn.

However, Kunos Simulazioni, the developers behind this virtual racing marvel, have adjusted their projections, stating the full version will be unveiled “only when we can do so with confidence,” shifting expectations away from the initial roadmap.

So, what lies ahead for this popular racing simulation?

Launching the early access was a significant stride for Assetto Corsa EVO. Described as the “most successful in the series’ history” by Kunos Simulazioni’s Co-founder and Executive Manager Marco Massarutto in a recent briefing, it sets a strong foundation while hinting at greater developments on the horizon.

Despite this breakthrough, some key features remain on fans’ wish lists. The much-anticipated online multiplayer mode and the freedom to explore bustling urban landscapes, scenic roads, and the sprawling countryside around Germany’s Nürburgring circuit are top priorities for future updates.

A whole range of new vehicles is also expected to be introduced in upcoming early access updates leading to the full version. According to a recent fan poll, online multiplayer emerges as the most-awaited feature, with free-roam following as the second popular choice.

Gamers also have their sights set on refined modding tools and virtual reality support, indicating a desire for more immersive racing experiences that Assetto Corsa EVO promises to deliver.

For now, the full release of Assetto Corsa EVO is confirmed for PC, long established as the franchise’s leading platform. But the market for this game spans across platforms, and nearly 40 percent of sales are driven by console users.

An eventual launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S remains a strong possibility. Historical patterns show that earlier versions, like Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione, extended their reach to consoles in later stages.

Supporting this trajectory, a Financial Report from 505 Games and Digital Bros, Kunos’ parent company, indicates the next Assetto Corsa installment will eventually debut on consoles. However, it’s anticipated that the PC release will take precedence in the rollout timeline.

Anticipation builds for a wide-scale release likely encompassing PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Still, features such as modding and online driver swaps are expected to stay exclusive to the PC version, maintaining tradition from previous episodes.

The fast track to racing glory with Assetto Corsa EVO presents a dynamic landscape of exhilarating updates and fresh features. As we keep pace with its evolution, gamers can expect an unmatched simulation experience, seamlessly weaving real-world authenticity with user-generated creativity.
