Storms Arrive Later This Evening, Cooling Off Before More Weekend Heat

As the evening progresses, the storms will lose intensity as they move further southeast. Omaha might experience the storm’s effects between 9 and 11 P.M., with the storms continuing to weaken and move southeast of Omaha after midnight.
Thursday will kick off with temperatures in the low 70s and substantial cloud cover. While a few lingering showers might persist, most areas will remain dry during the morning hours. Courtesy of the cold front, the day won’t scorch, but a hint of humidity may linger. Expect high temperatures to settle in the mid 80s. Into Thursday evening, a few scattered storms could still pop up, especially south of Omaha.
Moving into Friday, more cloud cover and a potential for rain will keep the highs restricted to the mid 80s. The likelihood of rain will be more pronounced south of Omaha once again.
As the weekend approaches, temperatures will climb again. Saturday promises to soar into the low 90s under abundant sunshine. By Sunday, temperatures are predicted to rise to the mid 90s, continuing with mostly sunny conditions.
The trend of mid 90s will extend into Monday, though a weak cold front might nudge temperatures back to the low 90s by Tuesday, accompanied by a slight chance of rain.
