HPE expands Nvidia AI portfolio

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has broadened its Nvidia AI Computing by HPE portfolio with new offerings aimed at building secure, scalable “AI factories” and strengthening advanced data center networking. The expansion centers on sovereign, compliant infrastructure for Europe, alongside fresh platform options and operational automation across hybrid environments.

EU‑sovereign AI Factory Lab to open in Grenoble

HPE is launching an AI Factory Lab in Grenoble, France, designed to let enterprises test and validate AI workloads on a sovereign, air‑cooled infrastructure operating entirely within the European Union. The lab is intended to help organizations meet EU data sovereignty requirements while providing a regionally compliant environment for global customers evaluating distributed AI deployments.

The Grenoble facility will feature a full-stack buildout, including:

  • HPE servers
  • HPE Juniper Networking PTX and MX Series routers
  • NVIDIA accelerated computing hardware
  • NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking
  • HPE Alletra storage
  • Government-ready NVIDIA AI Enterprise software

This combination allows customers to benchmark performance on EU-based infrastructure and address regulatory considerations before broad rollout. The AI Factory Lab in Grenoble is slated to open in the second quarter of 2026.

Private AI Lab in London with Carbon3.ai

In the UK, HPE is collaborating with Carbon3.ai to establish a Private AI Lab in London. Built on the HPE Private Cloud AI platform, the environment brings together the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software suite and NVIDIA hardware, offering enterprises a pathway to develop and adopt AI applications within a controlled, enterprise-ready setting.

“Template for sovereign AI”

“We’re transforming the data centre into an AI factory — a manufacturing plant for the new industrial revolution — and by deploying the full stack of NVIDIA accelerated computing and Spectrum-X Ethernet networking with HPE, we’re creating the template for sovereign AI.

The new AI Factory Lab provides a foundry where customers can turn data into value, securely and at scale.” — Jensen Huang, founder and CEO, NVIDIA

New configurations and controls for operational sovereignty

Responding to European operational sovereignty needs, HPE Private Cloud AI now supports additional GPU options, including the NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition and NVIDIA Hopper GPUs. For compliance-driven workflows and isolated environments, HPE is integrating a STIG-hardened and FIPS-enabled deployment of NVIDIA AI Enterprise, extending a security-first posture across the stack.

The platform also adopts NVIDIA Multi-Instance GPU (MIG) technology, enabling fractionalized GPU resources to optimize utilization and right-size compute for diverse AI workloads. On the operations front, new Datacenter Ops Agents from World Wide Technology (WWT), NVIDIA, and HPE aim to automate routine and complex management tasks across agentic AI systems and hybrid cloud environments, reducing overhead and improving reliability.

To support national regulatory needs, HPE’s sovereign AI factory solutions are now delivered with system architectures tailored for country-specific compliance. These reference designs incorporate security controls required for audit support and alignment with regulated industries, streamlining procurement and deployment for customers in highly governed sectors.

Together, these moves position HPE to deliver end-to-end, compliant AI infrastructure — from lab validation and platform security to automated operations — for organizations scaling AI initiatives in Europe and beyond.
