Business News | A Remarkable Achievement: ‘Real-Life BGMI Buggy’ Crafted from Scratch by a Railway Technician in Rajasthan

In an inspiring tale of grassroots ingenuity, the spirit of Indian gaming culture shines brightly with the creation of a ‘Real-Life BGMI Buggy’. This ambitious project was undertaken by an enterprising railway technician, Karan Kargwal, a young resident of Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, whose passion for the popular game BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) has turned into a national sensation.

With minimal resources at his disposal, Kargwal transformed an idea into reality using only scrap metal, parts from his old motorcycle, welding tools, and a phone camera. His weekends were consumed by labor under the relentless sun, as he meticulously built a life-sized, operational model of the BGMI buggy on the roof of his home, without any formal training in engineering or design. His endeavor was backed by his determination, a deep love for the game, and the unwavering support of his family.

Reflecting on his project, Kargwal stated, “Playing BGMI used to be just a way to relax after work, and I never imagined it would inspire me to create something tangible. The buggy became a testament to the power of passion and purpose. It represents more than metal and wheels; it’s a realization that perseverance can turn even the most unlikely dreams into reality. I owe a great deal to my family and the BGMI community for turning this dream into a story worth telling.”

Kargwal’s journey gained significant traction online, with his video snippets capturing the buggy’s construction amassing a following of over 220,000 people primarily from smaller towns across India. Motivated by the overwhelming support, BGMI itself lent its support to complete his vision, giving rise to the initiative ‘Beyond Battlegrounds’. This project aims to highlight creators transforming their gaming passion into impactful, real-world expressions.

“Gaming in India has moved beyond a mere hobby—it’s a movement led by innovative individuals from smaller towns,” remarked a representative from KRAFTON India. “At KRAFTON, we’re not merely observing this transformation; we’re actively supporting it. ‘Beyond Battlegrounds’ champions those who turn their passion into purpose, converting gameplay into real-world accomplishments. Karan’s buggy stands as a symbol of how gaming engenders creativity and ambition in unlikely places.”

To immortalize this accomplishment, a film documenting the build, and the story behind it, has been released. The film captures the tenacity, emotion, and community spirit surrounding one of India’s most unique gaming-inspired innovations. This aligns with the broader vision of fostering a decentralized gaming ecosystem where grassroots creators can thrive.
