Will Colts TE Tyler Warren Play vs. Titans in Week 6?
Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren is questionable for Sunday’s Week 6 matchup against the Tennessee Titans after a groin issue surfaced late in the week.
Warren’s injury status
Warren did not appear on the injury report during the first two days of practice. He was added Friday, however, and participated on a limited basis because of the groin injury.
The late addition leaves his availability uncertain. A final decision may not come until Indianapolis evaluates him before kickoff and releases its inactive list.
Why Warren’s availability matters
Warren has quickly become one of the most important players in the Colts’ offense. He leads the team in targets, receptions and receiving touchdowns, while his 213 receiving yards rank second on the roster.
He is also coming off his best receiving performance of the 2026 season, having produced 83 yards in his previous appearance.
His impact extends beyond the passing game. Warren contributes as a blocker and can line up in multiple spots, giving head coach Shane Steichen more flexibility with formations and play-calling. Losing him would affect both the aerial attack and Indianapolis’ running game.
Colts’ options at tight end
If Warren cannot play, Indianapolis could turn to Mo Alie-Cox, Drew Ogletree, Will Mallory and Pharaoh Brown.
Alie-Cox and Ogletree are primarily valued for their blocking, while Mallory offers more potential as a receiver. The Colts can divide snaps among those players, but none provides Warren’s complete combination of receiving ability, blocking and versatility.
For now, Warren remains questionable, with his game-day evaluation expected to determine whether he suits up against Tennessee.
