Ozobot and CYBER.ORG Partner to Bring Cybersecurity Learning to Life for K-5 Students

In an exciting development for education in the digital age, Ozobot, a global leader in programmable robotics and STEAM-based learning solutions, has announced a partnership with CYBER.ORG, the academic initiative of the Cyber Innovation Center. This collaboration focuses on empowering educators with innovative solutions to teach foundational cybersecurity skills to students from kindergarten through 5th grade.

On June 13, 2025, the Newport Beach, Calif.-based Ozobot unveiled eight new hands-on lessons developed in partnership with CYBER.ORG. These lessons utilize Ozobot’s award-winning Evo coding robot to introduce young learners to key cybersecurity concepts, aligning with CYBER.ORG’s K-12 Cybersecurity Learning Standards. Through these resources, educators receive free access to engaging, age-appropriate cybersecurity instruction via both the CYBER.ORG learning platform and Ozobot Classroom.

The initiative stems from a shared commitment to preparing the future generation for a rapidly evolving digital world. With the increasing importance of cybersecurity in daily life and professional environments, this partnership aims to provide educators with essential tools to spark an early interest in cybersecurity careers, along with building foundational awareness among students.

“With this partnership, we’re empowering educators to teach cybersecurity in a way that’s interactive and fun for students,” stated Michaela Baruch, Vice President of Education Strategy at Ozobot. “It’s another example of how robotics can make real-world topics come alive in the classroom.”

To demonstrate the potential of these new lessons, Ozobot will showcase them at EdCon 2025, CYBER.ORG’s annual educator conference scheduled for June 16-18 in Chicago, IL. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to experience this innovative content firsthand at the Ozobot booth and through various educator sessions.

Dr. Laurie Salvail, Executive Director of CYBER.ORG, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying, “Ozobot’s Evo robot is an exceptional tool for introducing students to coding, so we are thrilled to pair this technology with lessons grounded in CYBER.ORG’s K-12 Cybersecurity Learning Standards. Having tangible resources like the Evo robot truly elevates the classroom experience for students and helps them build strong foundational skills to navigate the digital world safely and confidently. We’re excited to see how these lessons and activities spark curiosity and an interest in cyber!”

The collaboratively developed lessons provide educators with a seamless way to incorporate cybersecurity into their existing curricula while enhancing coding, problem-solving, and digital citizenship skills—requiring no advanced tech expertise.

Ozobot continues to redefine the role of robotics in education through its award-winning programmable robots, patented screen-free coding programs, and STEAM-based learning solutions. These innovations transform the educational landscape, fostering new and engaging ways for students to learn and create across all grades and subjects. Led by a world-class team of educators, engineers, and computer scientists, Ozobot remains the most trusted robotics platform in education.
