Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is Now Available on the Nintendo Switch 2 – The Reimaru Files
The modern reimagining of a JRPG classic has arrived on more platforms. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is out now on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Xbox Play Anywhere. A physical edition for Nintendo Switch 2 is also on shelves in Southeast Asia.
This release is part of a broader push to bring the entire Final Fantasy VII remake saga to a wider audience. Starting with Intergrade, the full trilogy is set to land on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S alongside its existing PlayStation 5 and PC versions. The third and final chapter of the trilogy is already in development, setting the stage for the conclusion of Cloud and company’s journey.
Intergrade expands the acclaimed 2020 remake with enhanced visuals, refined performance, and a content-rich package designed to welcome both veterans and newcomers. The hybrid combat blends real-time action with tactical command selection, while the story reimagines the Midgar arc with cinematic flair and character-driven moments that hit harder than ever.
New quality-of-life options
A new optional “Streamlined Progression” mode helps players focus on the narrative and battles without roadblocks. Available on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S at launch—and via a free update on PS5 and PC—the mode includes:
- Unlimited HP and MP at all times
- Constantly filled ATB and Limit gauges during combat
- 9,999 fixed damage output for faster encounters
- Accelerated weapon ability acquisition and other tweaks to reduce grind
These settings can be toggled for a breezier ride through Midgar or turned off for the standard experience.
Try it free with a transferable demo
A free demo is available on all platforms, featuring the game’s iconic opening mission: Cloud Strife’s first job with Avalanche to sabotage a Mako Reactor in the heart of the dystopian metropolis. Demo save data carries over to the full game, letting players pick up right where they left off. Those who import their demo save into the full version can claim bonus items, including the Revival Earrings and a Survival Set, to get an early edge.
Launch bonuses and extras
- Early purchase reward: Buy the digital version on Nintendo Switch 2 or Xbox Series X|S/PC by January 31, 2026, to receive the original Final Fantasy VII as a bonus.
- Physical perk: The Nintendo Switch 2 boxed edition includes a Magic: The Gathering — Final Fantasy Play Booster.
