In 2016, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella joined Saqib Shaikh, a visually impaired software engineer, to showcase a groundbreaking innovation: smart glasses designed to aid people with visual impairments. These glasses utilized cutting-edge machine learning and facial recognition technology to describe the surroundings, painting an immediate picture of the world for the wearer.

This demonstration was more than just a technological feat; it was a pivotal moment that altered perceptions of artificial intelligence (AI).
