Predictiv AI, Inc.: Predictiv AI Expands Into Hardware with Shiftmatics Platform and Secures Initial Client Order

Predictiv AI Inc. (CSE: PAI; FWB: 7IT) has completed Phase 1 of its Shiftmatics hardware platform and received its first client order, marking a move beyond pure software into hardware-enabled AI infrastructure. The company says Shiftmatics lays the groundwork for real-time intelligence at the edge and a clear progression toward autonomous fleet systems.

  • Phase 1 of Shiftmatics is complete; production-ready hardware is in market
  • Company expands into hardware-driven AI infrastructure
  • First commercial client secured; initial device deployment to begin shortly
  • Foundation for edge AI, real-time analytics, and automation
  • Roadmap points toward semi-autonomous and autonomous fleet capabilities

From Tracking to Edge Intelligence

Shiftmatics is designed as a device-level foundation that continuously captures high-frequency vehicle and environmental data—well beyond basic GPS pings—while maintaining reliability through onboard storage and backup power. The platform targets fleets that need real-time visibility, faster decisions, and lower latency by processing more data closer to where it’s generated.

The Shiftmatics Roadmap

Predictiv AI is rolling out Shiftmatics in staged capabilities, progressing from core telemetry to on-device AI:

Stages 1 & 2 (Completed): Core Data and Connectivity

  • Production-ready hardware platform
  • High-frequency location, vehicle performance, and environmental data
  • Telemetry including speed, fuel usage, and driving behavior
  • Environmental sensing (temperature, pressure, humidity)
  • On-device memory and backup power for resilience

Stage 3 (In Development): Vision-Enabled Intelligence

  • Onboard camera integration for operational visibility
  • Local video storage with optimized retrieval
  • Foundation for visual analytics and safety insights

Stage 4 (Future): Edge AI Infrastructure

  • On-device processing and real-time analysis
  • Intelligent decision nodes at the edge
  • Event detection, predictive insights, and automated responses
  • Less reliance on centralized cloud infrastructure

Strategic outcome: a progression from tracking to intelligence to execution, creating a scalable hardware footprint for AI deployment and a pathway to automation, autonomy, and robotics-driven systems.

“Shiftmatics was designed from the outset as more than a tracking device,” said B.H. Sudantha, Head of Hardware and Engineering at Predictiv AI. “Each phase brings computation closer to the source, enabling systems to analyze, respond, and evolve directly on-device—laying the foundation for real-time analytics, automation, and future autonomous systems.”

Why It Matters: The Market Is Moving Beyond Passive Tracking

Fleets are shifting from historical reporting toward live, data-driven operations. Traditional telematics show where assets have been; operators now want to know what’s happening right now and what to do next. Platforms that capture, interpret, and act on data in real time can help reduce costs, improve safety, and accelerate decision cycles. Shiftmatics is built to support this transition—bridging raw telemetry with actionable intelligence inside the operating environment.

First Commercial Deployment Is Underway

Predictiv AI confirmed an initial client has requested installation of its first batch of Shiftmatics devices, marking the platform’s debut in a live operating environment. This early deployment is expected to inform broader rollout and scaling plans across additional fleets and use cases.

What Comes Next: Edge AI, Autonomy, and Intelligent Systems

As onboard vision and edge processing come online, Predictiv AI expects Shiftmatics to power local decision-making with lower latency and reduced bandwidth. Over time, the company anticipates capabilities such as:

  • Event detection and real-time alerts
  • Driver behavior analysis
  • Predictive maintenance
  • Semi-autonomous operational workflows
  • Intelligent fleet coordination

Predictiv AI also points to adjacent opportunities where sensing, intelligence, and automation converge, including robotics and other real-time physical systems. Shiftmatics sits alongside ShiftFleet.ai and CloudRep.ai in the company’s ecosystem, linking physical operations with AI-driven insights and workflow automation.

“This milestone marks our expansion beyond software into integrated hardware capabilities,” said Suman Pushparajah, Chief Executive Officer of Predictiv AI Inc. “We’re embedding intelligence directly into physical systems—starting with fleets and advancing toward real-time, edge-based decision-making where data can be acted on instantly.”
