Romanian Software Company OVES Enterprise Expanding to the US to Develop Military Drones
OVES Enterprise, a dynamic Romanian software development firm headquartered in Cluj-Napoca, is making significant strides into the United States market. This expansion is being spearheaded through a strategic partnership with Adler Aerospace, aiming to develop advanced military drone technology centered on OVES’s artificial intelligence solution, Nemesis AI.
The collaboration entails the integration of Nemesis AI into Adler’s Atlas6 Shield System. This system is touted as a sophisticated counter-drone and electronic warfare solution. It adeptly combines radio frequency detection and jamming capabilities with precision kinetic interception, applicable in both fixed ground and mobile aerial scenarios.
Within this partnership, OVES Enterprise is set to design a specialized AI Board for onboard processing. Nemesis AI will leverage this board to endow Atlas6 with enhanced self-protection features and autonomous operating capabilities. The system is designed to identify and evade potential threats such as interceptor drones, missiles, or artillery shells. By incorporating optical sensors, Atlas6 will furnish vital information from operational altitudes to ground forces.
Moreover, the innovative platform can be tailored for the transport and autonomous deployment of drones tasked with neutralizing adversarial targets or safeguarding strategic sites. The Atlas6 drone itself boasts a hybrid propulsion setup, enabling operation at altitudes reaching 4,000 meters, enduring flights for up to 10 hours, and accommodating a payload capacity of 45 kilograms. These characteristics, coupled with onboard processing and the proficiency of Nemesis AI algorithms, support a diverse array of missions. These include surveillance, counteracting hostile drones, providing escort and support to deployed units, and performing access-denial operations in electromagnetically contested environments.
The initial fruits of this collaboration will be on display at a NATO exercise in Lithuania towards the end of August. During this event, OVES Enterprise and Adler Aerospace intend to demonstrate how Nemesis AI can effectively contribute to the safeguarding of key assets.
“This partnership with Adler Aerospace represents a pivotal phase in the journey of Nemesis AI, transitioning from deployment on tactical platforms to a broader-scale platform meeting high operational benchmarks. Our goal is unequivocal: to achieve autonomy, resilience, and significance in realistic operational contexts,” stated Mihai Filip, CEO of OVES Enterprise, as reported by Economedia.
