Axon Vision Receives $2 Million Order from Israeli Defense Customer
Tel Aviv — Sept. 9, 2025 — Axon Vision, billed as Israel’s first publicly traded defense AI firm, has landed a $2 million order from a domestic defense customer to upgrade Remote-Controlled Weapon Stations (RCWS) with an AI-powered kit. The deal, which the company says could lead to substantial follow-on orders, centers on integrating its “AI Core” computing unit and EdgeRCWS software to modernize both current and legacy weapon stations.
What’s in the upgrade kit
The package combines Axon Vision’s AI Core hardware with EdgeRCWS, a vision-based AI suite designed to automate parts of RCWS operation. By processing live video in real time, the system is built to detect and classify a wide range of ground and aerial threats—including small unmanned aircraft—and support rapid operator response. The company says the upgrade effectively turns conventional weapon stations into smarter, more autonomous systems, improving situational awareness and enabling faster engagement decisions.
