IITM Pravartak and Emeritus Launch Professional Certificate Programme in Agentic AI and Applications
Mumbai, India — September 2: As artificial intelligence moves beyond predictive analytics to autonomous, goal-directed systems, “Agentic AI” is emerging as a defining capability for the next wave of enterprise innovation. Citing rising demand for decision-making and problem-solving roles in the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025, IITM Pravartak — the Technology Innovation Hub of IIT Madras, funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India — has partnered with Emeritus to launch the Professional Certificate Programme in Agentic AI and Applications.
What the programme offers
This five-month, application-focused programme is designed to help professionals build intelligent agents that can plan, reason, and act autonomously. Learners will gain hands-on experience with modern tools and frameworks including LangChain, CrewAI, Flowise, OpenAI APIs, FAISS, and more. Beyond prompt-based interactions, the curriculum emphasizes building end-to-end agent systems with memory, orchestration, and deployment in real-world contexts.

Learning experience and outcomes
The programme blends live online sessions with self-paced modules to suit working professionals. Participants will complete over 20 graded coding assignments to reinforce core competencies and a Capstone Project to design and deploy an end-to-end agent system aligned with industry use cases. Live online masterclasses by IITM Pravartak Lead Faculty deepen conceptual understanding and practical application.
Career support includes resume reviews, IIMJobs Pro membership, and networking access. An optional two-day campus immersion at IITM Research Park enhances peer collaboration and applied learning.
Credentials and recognition
On completion, learners receive:

- Three IBM certifications: AI Agent Building, Generative AI for Business, Responsible AI
These credentials help validate expertise in building enterprise-ready agentic systems and responsible AI practices.
