Pakistan showcases AI innovations at AI Everything Global 2026 in UAE
Pakistan is highlighting its expanding artificial intelligence and emerging technology capabilities at AI Everything Global 2026 in the United Arab Emirates, a major regional gathering that brings together governments, investors, startups and technology companies from around the world.
According to details shared by the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), the event features more than 500 exhibitors and 150 investors from 70 countries, making it an important platform for countries seeking to strengthen their presence in the fast-moving AI economy.
At the center of Pakistan’s participation is a dedicated national pavilion organized under the auspices of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB). The pavilion is presenting the work of five Pakistani technology companies, each showcasing AI-powered products and services across areas such as data intelligence, surveillance, sales technology and sovereign AI solutions.
This presence signals more than a symbolic appearance. It reflects a broader effort by Pakistan to position its technology sector as a serious contributor to the international AI ecosystem, while also creating opportunities for its firms to connect with investors, customers and strategic partners.
The Pakistan Pavilion was inaugurated by Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan, Pakistan’s envoy to the UAE, who met with company representatives and emphasized the importance of giving the country’s technology industry a stronger role in the global AI landscape.
During his visit, the ambassador stressed that Pakistan’s long-term success in AI will depend heavily on talent development. He highlighted the need to equip young people with advanced skills in artificial intelligence, coding and digital technologies, arguing that a future-ready workforce will be essential if Pakistan wants to improve its competitiveness and capture a larger share of opportunities in the global digital economy.
That message aligns with a wider reality facing many developing tech markets: AI growth is no longer just about software exports or startup visibility. It increasingly depends on whether countries can cultivate skilled talent, build scalable products and participate in high-value global innovation networks. Pakistan’s appearance at AI Everything Global 2026 appears aimed at advancing all three goals.
The country’s participation is being facilitated by the Commercial Section of Pakistan’s Diplomatic Mission in the UAE, under the leadership of Trade & Investment Counsellor Ali Zeb Khan, in coordination with PSEB and the Ministry of Information Technology. Pakistani delegates are also using the event to engage international stakeholders on AI-driven innovation, digital transformation and potential cross-border collaborations.
For Pakistani companies, events like this can serve as a launchpad into new markets. They offer direct access to investors, enterprise buyers and policy stakeholders at a time when AI adoption is accelerating across sectors including finance, security, retail, logistics and public services.
Pakistan’s participation also comes against the backdrop of strengthening technology ties with the UAE. The two countries are seeing notable momentum in digital trade, with Pakistan’s IT exports to the UAE rising 42 percent, from USD 376 million in FY 2024-25 to USD 536 million in FY 2025-26. The increase points to a rapidly deepening bilateral relationship in IT services, digital business and technology collaboration.
As Gulf states continue investing aggressively in AI infrastructure, smart government systems and digital transformation, Pakistan is seeking to position its tech sector as a competitive partner in the region. Its visibility at AI Everything Global 2026 suggests that Islamabad and industry stakeholders see AI not only as a future opportunity, but as a present-day strategic priority.
With international exposure, rising exports and a growing emphasis on AI skills, Pakistan’s showing in Dubai underscores an ambition to move beyond outsourcing and toward a stronger role in the innovation economy.
