Mercury To Develop Data Processing Subsystem for U.S. Satellite Program

Mercury Systems has been awarded a pivotal contract to develop data processing subsystems for a critical U.S. national security satellite program. In collaboration with an avant-garde space systems prime contractor, Mercury will deliver an array of these subsystems by harnessing its commercial products and extensive expertise in data recording, processing, and subsystem integration tailored for defense applications.

The core of Mercury’s solution features its SCFE6933 processing board, incorporating the advanced AMD Versal AI Core series FPGAs. This powerful combination is augmented by Mercury’s newly developed RH304T solid-state data recorder. This innovative device is a 3U form factor unit, renowned for its radiation tolerance and substantial 4.5-terabyte capacity, ensuring robust and reliable data management in the challenging conditions of space.
